Surgeon and Veterinarian in Honolulu – Dr. Patrick Leadbeater/Kahala Pet Hospital
A Message from Dr. Leadbeater
To our dear and valued clients,
As many of you know, the past months have been filled with ups and downs. Between office space logistics, and family health issues, we have been continually challenged. We have always done our best to provide you with the best client care possible, but now find ourselves in a position where we do not believe that is sustainable, due to unexpected changes in my medical condition.
I am saddened to tell you that after 40 years of serving our community, I have made the difficult decision to retire. Family health challenges need to be my priority. I have been honored to serve you and your pets, watching many of them grow from puppies and kittens, to happy and healthy seniors. No matter what brought you to our clinic, your pets have always been special to me and my staff.
Especially for those of you who have been with us for many years, you may be feeling like you don’t know where to turn for veterinary care. Our standard referral has always been to VCA Pearl City, who have 24 hour care available. Dr. White and their surgeon, Dr. Lam are both excellent physicians. If that is too far away, we’re happy to send your pet’s records to any clinic you select. Here’s a listing of reviews from Yelp featuring the Waialae/Kahala/Kaimuki area. You may call us at 808-735-4433 to request records.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the loyalty and support you’ve shown me and my staff at Kahala Pet Hospital. Our email address and website contact form will continue to be available to you, for the foreseeable future. I will leave this message on our website home page so that you can refer to any of the information in the upcoming months.
With humble aloha,
Dr. Patrick Leadbeater, the Leadbeater Family, and our Loyal Staff
Thank you for your past and continued support,
Dr. Patrick Leadbeater, and Staff

Every time I met Dr. Leadbeater he has been kind, patient and thorough in his examinations diagnosis and explanations. To my cats, he is always gentle and playful and they never feel uncomfortable. I hope my young cats wont have to see Doc Leadbeater very much, but if they do, I would wholeheartedly trust him. I very much recommend him and all their chill staff.
